General Calendar: November 01: Varano arrives in Jesolo -Liberty scooter is delivered.
10 November: Poundup in Piazza Marconi begins.17 November: All site supplies for artists are delivered. ALL ARTISTS ARRIVE IN JESOLO18 November: Poundup complete and all artists arrive in Conegliano.19 November: Sculpting begins. 09:0030 November: All sculpting is complete by 18:00. (12 carving days)01 December: Artists depart Jesolo.
Daily work schedule:07:30 Breakfast in the hotel opens.07:00 to 09:00 sand is removed or re-arranged in the tent as needed. 09:00 Carving starts for the day -if you want to start earlier, that is OK, but the laborers and machines may be working before 09:00.13:00 -14:00 Lunch break18:00 Carving stops for the day. If you want to work later, That is OK, but the laborers and machines may be working after 18:00.19:30 evening meal
Other:* You are entitled to a 15-minute break in both the morning and afternoon shifts.* The crew will stay and have breakfast in the Hotel. Thank you for being punctual for all work times, and ALWAYS wearing your Sultans shirt as outerwear, because we are recording the daily progress on video cameras for broadcast, set up around the tent. You are required to wear your Sultans of Sand gear and your safety shoes at all times while inside the tent. Let me know before October 15 if you need more.* Please limit the sand impact on the hotel & restaurant.* You folks are all good professionals & are conscientious and want to do good work. That's why I continue to hire you. Thank you.* Confirm your hotel pickup times for return to airport departure from the Hotel with Rich, after you arrive in Conegliano.* You may have the opportunity to work on the free day if it is only simple tweaking but the decorators will be very busy in the show tent.
