Jesolo SDS 2022 The Realms of Greek Mythology Tech Data Page 2. OVERVIEW

  • The theme for the show this year is The Realms of Greek Mythology, and scenes involving the god of each of the three realms. Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon are brothers and children of the Titans Cronus and Rhea. Those titans had other children too, but these three overthrew Cronus in order to inhabit and have dominion over these three realms.
  • There are six artists working in teams of two artists each, creating three sculptures on three poundups in this 24th edition of the show.
  • See Poundup specs & placements in the PU Specs & Layout tabs. If you want to make changes to the specs, let Rich know ASAP.
  • Susanne and David will create Poseidon and the Undersea Realm.
  • Pedro and Kuba will create Hades and the Underworld Realm.
  • Radek and Slava will create Zeus in Olympus - the Realm of the Heavens.
  • We are working in Piazza Brescia, and are staying close -probably at Villa Sorriso on the beach, just a few minutes away, where we will have breakfast before starting at the work site BY 09:00 and probably lunch at 13:00 and dinner when you like, opening at 19:30.
  • Bicycles are provided for the artists. Lock them when not in use.
  • We will all be subject to the rules and regulations of the government of Italy regarding Covid and all safety protocols, which are subject to change. As well, we will be governed by any political conventions that may be applied at any time due to the unfolding international crisis in Ukraine.
  • The director (Rich) will notify the crew if there are any new developments or changes in the UPDATES tab via email.
  • The scale of the figures is not a factor, but create a realistic & classical style of figures, robes/clothing, and accessories of the day and age of antiquity.
  • Lots of figures and details are preferred, but a high-quality finish is a priority. The street poundups are carved fully in the round. The Zeus sculpture is bigger but will be created for a front-side view only.
  • We post your sketch on your sign with the title and your updated bio. if your design changes much after your sketch is approved, let Rich know. The client is asking for updated CVs
  • Contact Rich if you have questions or comments about anything.
  • NOTE: In May, it can be hot or cold, wet or dry. Please bring and wear Sultans Of Sand gear and always wear it as outerwear while working, as well as proper safety shoes or boots. These items must be worn at all times while working because the show is being recorded. If you need some gear, let Rich know right away. Thank you!
