Jesolo Sand Nativity 2022 "PEACE"
Tech Data Page 02 OVERVIEW
- The sub-theme for The 2022 edition is "PEACE" based on elements of the Catholic culture. (these subjects are now sorted out and can be found on the "Crew, Assignments, & Sketches" tab, below)
- Your specific subjects are assigned to you for your interpretations and developing sketches Please work on your composition ideas and get with the director to discuss them before developing your final sketches for approval.
- We will be in the new tent at the back of Piazza Brescia behind the Ferris Wheel and civic center building. So we will likely be staying in a hotel close by, with breakfast in the hotel, and lunch and dinner in a typical restaurant.
- You will be paid in euros by bank wire transfer for 14 days of work.
- The confirmed dates are: Arrive in Jesolo on 14 November. Carve sand 15 -28 November.
- The official work schedule will be eight hours per day for 14 work days (09:00 - 18:00 with a 1-hour lunch break starting at 13:00)
- Depart on 29 or 30 November as you prefer. (all expenses for the free day-if you want one at the end, will be covered just as work days are).
- Your own travel costs will be covered by the producers, or you will be paid for the portion of your trip to work in Jesolo if you have an articulated ticket, the cost of which is shared by other events. All that is handled by the producer's office through Silvia Rebuli. (For travel/hospitality issues or guest requests--Email: silvia.rebuli@comune.jesolo.ve.it
- WhatsApp: +39 334 626 7730)
- A driver will pick you up and drop you off at Marco Polo Airport in Venice.
- After your subject for PEACE is assigned, you will submit sketches of your design ideas to be approved (or not) on the producer's end. Your sketches will be posted on the sign by your sculpture along with the title, your name, and a short bio.
- The poundups and their placements (where you will work) can be seen on the LAYOUT, PU SPECS & VIEW ANGLES tab below.
- Things might change at any time, and you may be requested to alter your design or carve on a different piece, have someone else carve on yours or you may be asked to do various other things. Your flexibility is required, but it's also appreciated.
- You will have private rooms and three meals per day in locations to be announced.
- Bicycles will be provided for the artists to go to and from the hotel to the show tent, restaurants, shopping, etc. Lock the bikes when not in use.
- We will all be subject to the rules and regulations of the government of Italy regarding Covid and all safety protocols, which are subject to change. Also, we will be governed by any political conventions that may be applied due to the unfolding international crisis in Ukraine.
- The director will notify the crew if there are any new developments or changes in the UPDATES tab below via email notifications.
- The scale of the figures is not a factor, and perspective tricks are encouraged. But do create a realistic & classical style of figures, robes/clothing, and accessories of the day and age of antiquity.
- Lots of figures and details are preferred, but a high-quality finish is a priority.
- We post your sketch on your sign with the title and your updated bio. So, if your design changes much after your sketch is approved, let the director. know.
- The client always wants an updated bio from you.
- Contact the director if you have questions or comments about anything.
- Please bring and wear Sultans Of Sand gear and always wear it as outerwear while working, as well as proper safety shoes or boots. These items must be worn at all times while working because the show is being recorded. If you need some gear, let Rich know right away. Thank you!
